Build · Demolition & Site Prep
Where every project quietly begins.
Demolition is the first hour of every renovation, and the one that decides how the next six months go. We protect what is staying, remove what is going, and leave the site ready for the trades that follow.
Good demolition is invisible by the time the renovation is done. Bad demolition is the reason a kitchen has a wavy floor, a ceiling that cracks, or a structural beam that should never have been touched. We treat demolition as the careful, sequenced first phase that it is.
What we handle
Selective interior strip-outs
Kitchens, baths, basements, and whole-floor strips, with finishes protected on the floors and rooms that are staying.
Full interior demolition
Down to the studs or down to the foundation, depending on the rebuild plan. We sequence so the structure stays sound while everything around it leaves.
Soft-strip
Salvage-conscious demolition for properties going to design or for owners who want to keep heritage trim, mantels, or hardware.
Abatement coordination
Asbestos, lead paint, and vermiculite testing and removal through licensed abatement contractors. We do not perform abatement ourselves but we manage the file.
Disposal, dust control, and protection
Bins, chutes where required, plastic and zip-wall dust containment, negative-air machines, and clean handover to the next trade.
Notes from the GTA
- Most pre-1990 Toronto homes contain some material that should be tested before demolition starts. We arrange testing before we quote the demo line item.
- Permits are usually required for any structural demolition or for the removal of plumbing and electrical. We carry the application.
- Demolition pricing varies widely with access. A walk-up downtown is different from a detached property with driveway access. We quote against the actual site.
How a project starts is how it usually finishes. We start cleanly.
