Small Works

The small jobs we say yes to.

Paint a room. Patch the drywall. Swap a vanity. Fix the leak. Install the chandelier. Replace the front door. Re-grout the shower. The smaller jobs our larger clients call us back for, and the smaller jobs we are happy to do for any home in the Greater Toronto Area.

Most contracting firms grow out of small work. They do a kitchen, then a basement, then a whole-home build, and at some point they stop returning calls about a leaky tap or a cracked ceiling. We made a different choice. The small jobs are how we get to know a home and the people in it. They are also, frankly, how the long relationships start.

If you have a list of things that need doing around the house, send it. If it is one thing, that is fine too. The phone gets answered, the quote is fair, the work is done right, the place gets left tidy.

Our promise on small works

Six things we hold ourselves to.

The standard we keep on a $300 drywall patch is the same standard we keep on a $300,000 basement renovation. Nothing about being small justifies being sloppy.

No job too small

We do the $300 drywall patch with the same care we give the $300,000 basement renovation. The reason is simple. The next phone call you make might be for the bigger job, and we want to earn it.

Fixed prices, no surprises

We quote in writing before we start. If we discover something behind the wall that changes the scope, we stop, tell you, and price the change before we touch it. You never get a surprise invoice from us.

Tidy and respectful

Our crews show up in clean uniforms, lay down protection, take their shoes off where it matters, and vacuum on the way out. We know how to behave in your home.

Right trade, right job

Electrical work is done by an ESA-licensed electrician. Plumbing is done by a licensed plumber. Painting is done by people who paint full-time. We do not send a generalist to do a specialist's job.

Honest about what you need

If the right answer to your problem is a $40 part and a YouTube video, we will tell you. We are in this for the long relationship, not for the one-off invoice.

Backed by the firm

Small works carry the same warranty as our large projects. The same person you spoke to on the first call answers the phone six months later.

How it works

Send a photo. We take it from there.

  1. 01Send a photo and a short noteTell us what is broken, what needs replacing, or what you want refreshed. A photo helps. We respond the same business day, almost always within a few hours.
  2. 02Confirm the quoteFor most small works we quote a fixed price by phone or text after the photo. For anything that needs a closer look (a leak source we cannot see, a structural question, a heritage finish), we book a 30-minute site visit, free.
  3. 03Schedule the visitSmall works are usually scheduled within a week. Emergency leaks, water shut-offs, or anything that cannot wait, we will move heaven and earth to be there same-day or next-day.
  4. 04Work done, room left cleanOur crew works tidy. Drop sheets, dust protection, vacuumed before they leave. You should not have to clean after a contractor.
  5. 05Invoice when it is doneYou pay only after the work is done and you are happy with it. Etransfer, credit card, cheque. Receipt by email the same day.

Frequently asked

The questions clients ask first.

Do you really do small jobs?
Yes. We do not have a minimum project size for our small-works team. The same crew that handles larger renovation work is happy to come back for a single drywall patch, fixture swap, or paint refresh.
How quickly can you get to me?
Most small works are scheduled within five to seven business days. Emergencies (water leaks, broken locks, broken windows) we try to handle same-day or next-day.
Do you do work in condos?
Yes. We carry the certificate of insurance most boards require, we book the freight elevator, and we work within the building's permitted hours. Condo work is a meaningful part of what our small-works team does.
What if the small job turns out to be bigger than it looked?
We tell you immediately, in writing, with the new scope and the new price. You decide whether to proceed. We never just keep going and surprise you at invoice time.
Can you do work while I am out of town?
Yes. We are trusted with keys and alarm codes by clients across the GTA. We photograph the completed work, lock up properly, and email you when we leave.
Do you accept insurance work?
Yes. We work directly with adjusters for water damage, fire damage, and storm damage restoration. We prepare the scope, document the work for the insurer, and invoice through your claim.
