Build · Excavation & Drainage
Move the earth. Manage the water.
Excavation for foundations, walk-outs, additions, and waterproofing. Lot regrading, weeping tile installation, drainage to storm or to a dry well. The underground work that decides whether the rest of the project stays dry.
What we handle
Foundation excavation
Excavation for new additions, walk-outs, walk-ups, underpinning, and exterior waterproofing. With proper shoring where the depth requires it.
Lot grading
Re-shaping the yard so water moves away from the house, with attention to property lines, mature trees, and what your landscaping wants to look like at the end.
Weeping tile and drainage
Perimeter weeping tile to a working sump or to the storm system where permitted. Catch basins, French drains, and dry wells for problem areas.
Trenching
For new water services, gas lines, electrical, low-voltage, and irrigation, coordinated with the trades that will use them.
Tree-friendly work
Hand-dig and care around root zones of mature trees, with an arborist consult where required. Heritage tree work is part of what makes a renovation feel like the same house it was before.
Notes from the GTA
- Most GTA municipalities require locates before any excavation. We file with Ontario One Call and we wait the legal period.
- Excavation against a neighbouring foundation requires notice and engineering. We handle both.
- We restore the surface (grade, sod, planting, hardscape) at the end of the job. The yard you give us is the yard you get back.
Water always wins. Excavation done right is how you tell it where to go.
