Build · Flooring
The surface every other room sits on.
The floor sets the tone of every room. We install, refinish, and repair hardwood, engineered, tile, stone, and large-format porcelain. Done by people who take the time to acclimatise, level, and finish properly.
What we handle
Solid hardwood
Quarter-sawn oak, walnut, maple, ash. Nailed down to acclimatised subfloor, sanded, stained, and finished with the right oil or water-based topcoat.
Engineered hardwood
Pre-finished or site-finished engineered planks rated for below-grade where the basement calls for them. Glued or floating where the assembly requires it.
Refinishing
Sanding, repair, recoating, and full restoration of existing floors. With dust containment, so the rest of the house stays liveable.
Tile and stone
Porcelain, ceramic, marble, limestone, slate. Set on a properly prepared substrate with the right setting material and grout. Large-format porcelain with the appropriate uncoupling membrane.
Luxury vinyl and specialty
High-end vinyl plank, cork, rubber for gyms, and linoleum where the room asks for it. Installed with the right transition strips and acoustic underlayments.
Notes from the GTA
- Wood needs to acclimatise on site for at least a week before installation. We schedule for it.
- A floor is only as flat as the subfloor under it. We level subfloors before we install, even when the original contractor did not.
- Refinishing hardwood with dust containment is now standard. We do not finish floors in dusty rooms.
Floors are the longest-running line item in a renovation. They deserve the time.
