Smart-home work goes wrong in one of two directions: too much technology bolted on after the fact, or technology that gets noticed every day. We work in the third direction — infrastructure planned at the rough-in stage, hidden in walls and millwork, controlled through a platform that doesn’t make the owner the IT department.
What we handle
Lighting control
Lutron HomeWorks QSX or RA3 across the home, with scenes, schedules, and keypad design integrated into the room palette.
Motorised shades
Lutron Sivoia QS or Lutron Triathlon, hard-wired and battery, in fabric and natural-fibre options that respect the room.
Whole-home audio
Sonos, Origin Acoustics, Sonance — in-ceiling, in-wall, or invisible. Coordinated with the lighting plan.
Climate & HVAC
Smart thermostats, zone control, room-by-room comfort, integrated to the same control interface as everything else.
Network & WiFi
Enterprise-grade WiFi (Ruckus, Ubiquiti UniFi) with proper access-point placement and a wired backbone. Coverage to the back fence.
Security & monitoring
Camera systems, door sensors, alarm panels, integrated with the lighting and away-mode automations.
Notes from the GTA
- Lutron HomeWorks remains the gold standard for residential lighting control in 2026; Crestron Home and Savant are equally valid for owners who want a single platform across AV.
- Pre-wire happens before drywall closes. Adding smart-home capability after is roughly 5x the cost and looks it.
- WiFi failures cause 80% of smart-home frustration; we spec a proper backbone before adding devices.
- We work with your AV integrator if you have one, or bring ours in if you don’t. We do not gatekeep — we coordinate.
